We are sorry to announce that Office Administrator Gill is leaving us in March due to moving out of the area. we wish her and her family well in the future. Her leaving will create a vacancy for an Office Administrator, which is a part time job (9 hours over 3 days) and is currently funded until the end of September 2018. The role involves undertaking several administrative duties in order to support the clergy in the running of the office, such as booking funerals, weddings, and baptisms and liaising directly with the various parties involved in these, ordering supplies for the office and the church.
If you want to know more about what this role involves please discuss with Georgina Vye. If you decide to apply please email the church with your name and contact details. It is hoped that interviews can be held before Gill leaves us. Thanks Kath.

What Matters? Who Cares?
On 5th March there is an exciting and engaging evening open to all in our communities across the Ilminster Deanery. Entitles, “What matters? Who Cares?” It promises to open up a community conversation process across the variety of contexts, areas, and lives that make up the rich and diverse nature of the Ilminster and Chard region.
The evening is designed to begin to look at a range of issues that are close to the heart of our communities, so that we can start to have a closer relationship with each other and strengthen the bond that joins us. The Right Rev’d Bishop Ruth Worsley will be taking part in the event, which will be a combination of short talks and table discussions to explore some of the major aspects of our daily lives together. The areas we will be focusing on initially are schools; farming and rural life; local government; care services; business and industry; and our church communities. It is intended to be a snapshot of daily life across the breadth of the Deanery, to find our what really matters, and how can we care. It is a forerunner to a more in-depth event in May, when Bishop Ruth will be returning and spending a week in the Deanery from 14th to 18th May, during which time there will be a range of events exploring how our communities work and live together.
The event is free and is open to all and there is no need to book. We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible! Monday 5th March 7 pm to 9:30pm, The Shrubbery Hotel, Station Road, Ilminster. Further information can be obtained from Rev’d Nigel Done
