We are advertising for a new Rector! Please remember the benefice in your prayers as we advertise for a new Rector. In particular please pray for:

  • God’s guiding hand throughout this time;
  • for discernment for those who are thinking of applying; and
  • for the panel who will be overseeing the appointment process.

There is also a prayer tree at the back of the church, so please feel free to write a prayer or tie on a ribbon.

Deanery Synod is on Tuesday 3rd July at 7.00pm for refreshments and the meeting will start at 7.30pm at Thearlbear School, TA3 5BW. The main item on the agenda is to review the Mission Week and capture areas for us to hold on to as we look at future items for the deanery plan. This is open to all in the congregation and especially all PCC members.

We also need to elect members for the diocesan synod.  Lay members do not have to be on the deanery synod but can be any communicant member of the church in this diocese.  Please pray and think about who you believe has skills and an outlook that could make a helpful contribution to the life of the diocese through the synod.  If someone comes to mind please encourage them to be nominated, by contacting Georgina.
